“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Carl R. Rogers
Welcome to my website
Looking for the right therapist isn’t an easy step. My hope is that you will find here what you need and that it will mark for you the start of a new journey towards a more fulfilling, happier life.
There are many reasons why someone might want to seek therapy. Whether it is anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, feeling lost, dealing with past or present trauma, or simply being curious about oneself, therapy can be of great help.
While there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to therapy, I will make sure that our sessions offer you a safe space to explore anything that you feel is important to you. My role as a therapist will be to listen, ask questions and sometimes offer a different perspective aiming at increasing your self awareness.
At the end of the therapeutic process, many clients explain that their past doesn’t weigh as heavily on the present. They feel more at peace with who they are. They’ve learned to replace unhealthy coping mechanisms with healthier ones. As they’ve become more aligned with their authentic self, they are more equipped to make better life choices.
Hi I'm Sophie
My name is Sophie Raphenne. I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Dublin Business School and am an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I also completed the mindfulness teacher training with the Mindfulness Centre and am a member of the Mindfulness Teacher Association Ireland (MTAI).
Since setting up my private practice in 2013, I have worked with hundreds of clients and practised for thousands of hours. I work with adult individuals on a one-on-one basis and teach mindfulness to groups. I speak English and French.
My counselling style at Wildflower Counselling can be described as integrative. This means an individualised, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client.
Since the pandemic, I work exclusively online with my individual clients. Mindfulness training for groups, on the other hand, can be delivered online or in-person.
Whether our paths cross or not, and whether or not you decide to start therapy, I wish you well on your journey.

Sincerely,

Sophie
